ORGANIZATIONAL EVALUATION
Through an in-depth assessment you will learn how your current skills, systems and organizational design support or block the development of an improved management system. During this assessment, all stakeholders will be interviewed using top down methodology. In addition, an analysis of documents used to support your business direction, organization and communication will be provided. Observation or participation in typical work, planning or decision-making processes is conducted to gain greater insight into your organization.
Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3)
Enovate Masters is trained and experienced with administering the Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3). The OPM3 is a benchmarking and assessment framework enabling organizations to reexamine their pursuit of strategic objectives via Best Practices in organizational project management. Enovate Masters integrates OPM3 with Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control (SPC) quality assurance activities to deliver comprehensive organizational development results at the strategic, tactical and operational levels.
The OPM3 process identifies and organizes a substantial number of generally accepted and proven project management practices, and provides a means to assess an organization’s maturity against the Best Practices identified in the OPM3 standard. Organization-wide assessment results inform decision-makers so they can decide whether to plan for improvements – and how to approach the improvements – to increase its maturity through capabilities development.
OPM3 results include:
-
Strengthened links between strategic planning and execution. Project outcomes are predictable, reliable, and consistent, and correlate with organizational success;
-
Improved strategic planning and execution linkage creates bidirectional traceability between departments – a quality necessary to define, justify, and manage resource expenditures based on results throughout a project’s life-cycle;
-
Identifies Best Practices that support implementation of organizational strategy through successful projects;
-
Identifies the specific capabilities which comprise the Best Practices, and dependencies among these capabilities and Best Practices;
-
Places Best Practices and capabilities within the context of project management as well as program and portfolio management processes;
-
Provides a means to assess an organization’s maturity relative to a body of identified Best Practices and capabilities;
-
Provides a basis from which organizations can make improvements in project management maturity;
-
Provides a means to define, link, and measure human capital development activities and training requirements to performance outcomes through project, program and portfolio management maturation;
-
Provides guidance and flexibility in applying the model to each organization’s unique set of needs;
-
Is based on the PMBOK Guide, recognized internationally by industry, as the de facto standard for project management;
-
Incorporates the expertise of hundreds of project management practitioners and consultants from a wide spectrum of industries and geographic areas.
